The stock consists of sapphires of various origins (Burma, Sri Lanka, Madagascar, Vietnam, Nigeria) and includes all the colors, not just royal and cornflower blue, or the pink of which the House is particularly fond.
François Garaude and his buyers seek out in particular Padparadscha sapphires (pink/orange) and Pyen Pit sapphires (blue/green from Mogok in Burma).
Here too, no treatment is accepted because heating the stones (often up to their melting point of 2000°) changes the colour, depriving it of its originality and standardizing it. Heating also melts the 'silk' that shades sapphires and rubies (same family), and at the same time adds traces of glass, created when the sand in which the stones lie in the furnaces, melts.
All the stones stocked have been analyzed by leading laboratories (SSEF, AGL, GRS, GUBELIN, LFG) and often have several certificates.
